Teething and Mobility

Wow. It sure would be nice if all of the teeth came in at the same time. It is such a long process!! Right when you start to get into a routine with bedtime and eating, etc. the whole thing gets turned around because baby's act completely different when they are teething.
And to top it all off, each round of teething is different from the last! Sometimes Stella tends to eat more when she is teething and other times she hardly eats at all. The only thing that has been consistent is that she gets all stuffed up when the teeth are really pushing in.

Really, the big event that I never expected when learning about raising a child and talking to people is the whole world of mobility for the little one. This is the hardest time.... right now. Stella does not want to crawl, she doesn't like laying on her stomach much. But she LOVES WALKING!!!! Problem is, she can't walk on her own. She has tasted what it is like to be mobile, but she can't do it on her own, so she gets EXTREMELY frustrated! Besides the fact that Krista and I have sore backs from leaning over to assist her in her exploring. Nothing makes Stella more happy than walking around the house and nothing makes me more happy than seeing her happy, so the beat goes on. Just can't wait till she can do this on her own! Then, we have the whole world of keeping an eye on our little explorer as she flies around the house.

On the verge....

Stella's first Christmas was a blast. Grandpa Dave and Grandma Virginia were here along with Uncle Evan! Grandma Marla made it for Christmas eve dinner with Grammy Shawn. Lots of family. So much fun....

For Stella's first Thanksgiving, all of her cousins were in town!

Stella at Halloween party with her friend Liam!

Here's Stella at her first Seahawks game!

Mom and Dad love dressing me up!

Stella loves her Saturday morning swim lessons! Her class is called the Kippers. She is very brave and constantly taking more chances in the water in Mom's arms!

Wow, time flies

(A rare moment of Stella on her belly looking like she will crawl.... this doesn't last long)

Okay, so we haven't posted on here since last summer! So delinquent. A friend of ours asked the other day, "How has your life changed since having Stella?" Ha! It made me want to laugh! No offense but, How has our life NOT changed!
Stella is a very active baby. I am sure everyone says that about their kids, but we have to say that she really doesn't enjoy sitting still. All she really wants to do right now is walk. Of course, this is with assistance from mom or dad, which makes for an increase in back pain. She hated laying down and can only sit for short amounts of time. Now, at 9 1/2 months we think she is on the verge of walking.
From here up, nothing but some photos!
